Main Line Branch

Runs from Penn Station and Hunterspoint Avenue to Jamaica. Beyond Jamaica runs east to the north coast end of the railroad at Greenport.

The Oyster Bay Branch begins at Mineola and the Port Jefferson Branch begins at Hicksville. The Central Branch to Babylon (used exclusively by Montauk Branch trains to Bay Shore and beyond) cuts off at Beth interlocking, just east of the Bethpage station.

It is electrified as far as Ronkonkoma. It is mostly double tracked. The railroad is going to build a second track to eliminate single track territory.
