Rio Grande Scenic

I rode this railroad in 2013 from Alamosa, CO. One trip went to Antonito for a connection to the Cumbres & Toltec. (I already rode the railroad and didn't need to ride it again.) I was the only passenger to Alamosa so I rode the engine. (What a sacrifice.)

The second trip went over La Veta Pass to La Veta. I was unable to ride the third trip to Fort Garland because of an attack of Gout from the high elevation, about 8,000 feet.
