Pulling the iron

The train left Utica on the Mohawk, Adirondack and Northern Railroad. It leaves the MA&N at Snow Junction and enters tracks owned by the Adirondack Railroad.

The engineer throws the switch for the diverging movement. In this photo, the switch target is green which means the switch is in the "normal" position.
